Question 1:  How old do you need to be to start Little Athletics?
Answer 1: For the 2020 season, an athlete needs to have been born in 2015 to be allowed to join and compete in the youngest age group - the U6's.

Question 2: What do I need to bring to competition?
Answer2: All athletes are required to wear our club uniform or sun safe clothing (shirt with sleeves and collar), a hat and to bring a water bottle.  They must also wear shoes for all events.  Special shoes are not required as long as they are suitable for running and jumping in.

Question 3:  Do I need to buy any equipment to compete with?
Answer 3: No, all equipment required is supplied by the club.

Question 4:  Do I need to join straight away?
Answer 4: No, the club runs trial days at the start of the season.  For these sessions, the cost is only $5 to allow an athlete to try athletics before they join.  Also, any athlete who wants to start after the start of the season is entitled to 2 trial days before they join.

Question 5: What is the maximum age for somebody to join?
Answer 5: There is no age limit for joining our club.  Depending on their age will determine whether or not they join Little Athletics or Queensland Athletics.  It is also possible for athletes who have turned 12, and who are registered with Little Athletics, to have dual registration with Queensland Athletics to allow them to compete at Queensland Athletics events if they wish.

Question 6: Is there any travel associated with being in the club?
Answer 6: It is not a requirement to travel to do Little Athletics.  All of our club competition is held in Biloela.  There are other competitions throughout the year that we encourage athletes to attend.  These include our friendly 6 Way Competition, Gladstone Multi event, Gracemere Multi event and our Regional Championships which will be held in North Rockhampton in 2019.  Further to these, there are Little Athletics Queensland competitions that athletes can attend including the Winter Championships (in Townsville), Spring Carnival (in Bundaberg) and the State Championships (for those that qualify at Regionals) in Brisbane.
